Steak (Judging @ 3pm)
Pork Ribs (Judging @ 3:30pm)
Chicken (Judging @ 4pm)
Pork Butt/Shoulder (Judging @ 4:30 pm)
Beef Brisket (Judging @5pm)
COOKING STARTS after 6pm FRIDAY
The streets will be blocked off at 6pm on Friday (May 27th) so cookers can be brought in.
Meat can be picked up from 6-7:30 that night in the Alegent Health Parking lot.  Cooking starts at your discresion after 6pm.




FEES
Site Fee:  $25 (non-refundable).  Your space will be 10x20 with electricity as an option).
*Please send a check with your registration form to reserve your space!
Entry Fee:  $20/Category.  There  are no minimum or maximum number of entries.  Fees due upon check-in the day before judging.  CASH ONLY!
LIMITATIONS
1)  We don’t care how many are on your team, but . . . the prize $ stays the same!
2) No Garnish!
3)  We don’t care how you cook it, but . . . it must be cooked on site!
4)  Must be presented in the box WE give you, with 5 separate portions for judges.
*DO NOT mark on your box in any way!

*For EACH category
1st Place:  50%
2nd Place:  30%
3rd Place:  10%
Grand Champion (must enter all 5 categories):  10% (of all entries)



1)  Entries will be judged in the areas of:
Appearance
Tenderness & Texture
Taste
2)  Scores will range from 9 to 2 points (in each category), with 9 being the highest and 2 the lowest. 
3) Scoring will be as follows:
9 = Outstanding!  Is among the BEST of BBQ!
8 = Close to, but not quite the best.
7 = Much better than average, but not nearly among the best.
6 = Slightly better than average.
5 = Just average BBQ.
4 = Slightly below average.
3 = Quite a bit below average, but not among the worst.
2 = The worst BBQ known to man!
1 = Disqualified (up to the judges, if he/she feels a rule has been in violation or a container has been tampered with).
4)  Before the competition, judges will not be allowed to socalize with the contestants.
5)  The judging will be double blind.  You will not receive your box(s), with entry numbers on them, until 30 minutes prior to the judging of  the first category.
